Class DescriptionClasses are a cozy 4-8 people. Most classes are 2 1/2 hours long. Also, classes can be arranged for 4-8 people who wish to have a private, creative event with a group of friends. This is a great way to celebrate a birthday or arrange a mother/daughter special time together. Each 2 1/2 class costs $21.20 (including GST) that must be paid in advance to reserve your space. This is non-refundable and nontransferable. Classes are designed for adults and teenagers. In order to continue offering workshops at a reasonable rate beads must be purchased from Holy Crow Beads.
Classes at Holy Crow BeadsAt Holy Crow Beads we have over a hundred different beading projects on display. Classes are taught in all of these and the class is designed to the individual. We have classes in working with wire, either soft artistic wire or the harder beadery wire where we do wrapped loops and make findings, cages etc. There are projects using a variety of stringing materials, whether a waxed cord, a yarn, a colourful nylon string or a wire. Then there are the too numerous to mention off-loom weaving techniques like peyote, brick, netting, spiral rope, ndebele or herringbone and the square stitch. We are always experimenting with the stitches and the beads to create bigger and better beadwork. We work on the loom and bead embellishing, there are cabachons and fringes, the list goes on and on. The examples here are but a few of examples at Holy Crow Beads. I hope that these give you an idea of our beadwork. We are constantly discovering new beads and techniques and so the samples grow faster than we can keep up with or have room for, but that is the danger in beading!
